The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop focuses on the QM Rubric
and its use in reviewing the design of online and hybrid courses.
Learn the underlying principles behind the QM Rubric and the critical elements of the QM quality assurance process. Learn about drafting helpful recommendations as you apply the Rubric to an actual course.
No course of your own? No problem. This workshop is a perfect fit for instructors who don’t currently have an online or hybrid course to work with. You’ll use a fully developed mock course to practice applying the QM Rubric, explore effective design strategies, and gain practical ideas you can adapt for your own teaching.
Interested in becoming a QM-Certified Peer Reviewer? This workshop is your required first step towards Peer-Reviewer certification.
This is an online, asynchronous course that runs for a three-week period between October 7 – 28. It will be facilitated by Dr. Olga Mesropova, Professor, Department of World Languages and Cultures, CELT faculty affiliate, and certified QM Master Reviewer. A minimum commitment of 10 – 12 hours per week is recommended for achieving the learning objectives.
