Python is a popular general-purpose language with a wide range of applications. It is great for automating tasks, including processing and analyzing research data. The simple syntax and abundant packages also make it user- and beginner-friendly.
This workshop focuses on core coding concepts that are transferable to other coding languages, demonstrated in Python. You will learn about variables, control sequences, and lists in the Google Colab environment.
No prior experience required.
Participants will need to bring a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer to participate. Students can borrow a laptop through the library’s Tech Lending program. If you need assistance to fully participate in this workshop, or have an accessibility request, please contact the instructor in advance (zhai@iastate.edu).
