Python is a popular general-purpose language with a wide range of applications. It is great for automating tasks, including processing and analyzing research data. The simple syntax and abundant packages also make it user- and beginner-friendly.
This workshop focuses on using prewritten packages for research coding. You will learn to install, import, and utilize functions in the Google Colab environment. No prior experience or attendance of part 1 required.
You will need to bring a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer to participate. Students can borrow a laptop through the library’s Tech Lending program. If you need assistance to fully participate in this workshop, or have an accessibility request, please contact the instructor in advance (zhai@iastate.edu).
